Birla Carbon has introduced Raven 1185, a surface modified carbon black featuring high jetness and easy dispersion for use in industrial and architectural coatings and premium quality inks. Raven 1185 is also recommended for food contact and skin contact applications. Raven 1185 is designed with high structure to aid in faster, more complete dispersion while its surface modification provides the desired viscosity and dispersion stability. Good carbon black dispersion and dispersion stability is very important in achieving the target end use properties in coatings and inks. Birla Carbon will be presenting Raven 1185 at this year’s CHINACOAT alongside their complete portfolio of products for the coatings and inks markets.
