Two changes have taken place on the Supervisory Board of LANXESS AG. After more than eleven years, Gisela Seidel stepped down from the Supervisory Board of LANXESS AG prior to her upcoming retirement. With effect from June 1, 2016, she was succeeded by Ifraim Tairi, Chairman of the Dormagen Works Council. The industrial supervisor and technical management expert has been a member of the Works Council since 2007. He was elected as a substitute candidate for Gisela Seidel in the elections of the employee representatives to the Supervisory Board in 2015. “Gisela Seidel had served on the Supervisory Board since the company was established, and all members greatly appreciated her constructive and goal-oriented working style. We wish her all the best for her retirement,” said Rolf Stomberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LANXESS AG. There was another change among the stockholder representatives on the Supervisory Board of LANXESS AG. Effective July 1, 2016, Dr. Heike Hanagarth was appointed by a court as a member of the Supervisory Board of LANXESS AG. She succeeds Claudia Nemat, who had served as a member of the supervisory body of the Cologne-based corporation since July 2013. “We thank Claudia Nemat for her impressive dedication to the Supervisory Board. We welcome Heike Hanagarth with her technical expertise and her wealth of experience,” said Rolf Stomberg. Hanagarth – who has a doctorate in mechanical engineering – served on the Management Board of Deutsche Bahn AG until 2015. Prior to that, she held various leadership positions at Daimler-Benz AG, MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH, IFA-Rotorion Holding GmbH and the BMW engine production site in Munich.
