Dunn-Edwards has introduced Improved Performance Evershield, an ultra-premium exterior, ultra-low VOC, 100 percent acrylic paint line. Improved Performance Evershield is formulated with 100 percent acrylic technology, which provides maximum protection against UV color fade, mildew, efflorescence, water intrusion and film failure (grain cracking, peeling and blistering). The product has excellent application properties and is available in tint bases that allow the product to be mixed into light, medium and dark colors. “Improved Performance Evershield is our best exterior paint line,” said John Kim, product manager. “Our customers expect outstanding application properties, and excellent durability and finish for their most high-profile projects. Improved Performance Evershield delivers on each one.” Improved Performance Evershield is available in six gloss levels: Flat and Velvet, which offer improved chalk resistance, alkali resistance, efflorescence resistance, surfactant leaching and improved durability; Eggshell, Low-Sheen, Semi-Gloss and Gloss, all provide improved block resistance, surfactant leaching, gloss retention, dry film hardness and early water resistance. This improved line of ultra-premium exterior paint arrives in stores this month, and available in quarts (except for Flat), gallons and five-gallons. Click for more information and technical spec sheets. Like all Dunn-Edwards paints, Improved Performance Evershield does not contain ethylene glycol (EG). Dunn-Edwards removed EG from its paint formulas in 1984 and remains the only major manufacturer to have done so. EG, which is listed as a hazardous air pollutant and toxic air contaminant, can be harmful to humans. Photos courtesy Dunn-Edwards
