The Metro New York Printing Ink Association’s May meeting will be a tribute to Shamrock Technologies’ Joon Choo, the 2018 Anthony Mauriello Man of the Year award winner.
Choo, a Malaysian native, moved to the U.S. in 1978. He received a B.S. in chemistry from Beloit College (Wisc.) and an MS in polymer science and engineering from UMass Amherst.
Choo joined Shamrock in 1983. In 2011, the global key accounts and products leader was awarded the TAM Service Award medal by the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM). Four years later, he became a Printing Ink Pioneer.
The meeting is slated for 6-9 p.m. May 23 at the Iberia Peninsula Restaurant in Newark, N.J.
It will feature an open bar and dinner. The cost is $95 per person.
