Global GreenTag will be launching its U.S. site and an array of product certification services at the GREENBUILD International Conference and Expo in Chicago (Nov. 14-16, 2018) as part of the Mindful Materials Pavilion in partnership with GIGA’s product data hub.

In the U.S., Global GreenTag is already recognized by the International WELL Building Standard and also claims compliance with the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED v4 building program and tools.

“We are greatly looking forward to launching in the U.S., engaging more deeply with leaders in the sustainability field and contributing to the trajectory of greening the US built environment,” said David Baggs, Global GreenTag’s CEO and program director.

The Global GreenTag Product Certification scheme will bring some new services to the U.S. market, Baggs said. It also delivers a Product Health Declaration that rates the healthiness of products in use with a HealthRATE Mark. The company also has developed an EN 15804 compliant Environmental Product Declaration Program that also will be able to give the U.S. made products a CarbonRATE Mark.

“We are increasingly recognized as the single source certification solution for multi-national companies to meet the requirements of the major green project rating tools globally,” Baggs said.
