Venue is in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

PPG said its Tintas RENNER business in Brazil partnered with online news portal O Bairrista to revitalize the newly named Embaixada Bairrista house in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The renovated site, previously called Casa Boni, showcases the traditions, art, and history of the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul and serves as a venue for cultural, culinary, corporate and other special events. Built in 1922 by Italian engineer Armando Boni, Embaixada Bairrista is a significant example of the upper-middle-class housing in Porto Alegre during the early 20th century. Located on Rua Marquês do Pombal in Porto Alegre’s Moinhos de Vento neighborhood, the house was declared a historic heritage site in 2002. The home’s renovation was led by the O Bairrista company. PPG’s Tintas Renner donated approximately 600 liters (160 gallons) of paint to restore the house’s exterior to the required original colors, which reflect the state flag of Rio Grande do Sul. Tintas Renner also trained the contractors painting the house to ensure best-in-class application and to create familiarity with the brand. “The experience with the Tintas Renner products has been excellent,” said Eduardo Santos, director, O Bairrista. “Everywhere the paint was applied, we obtained excellent results and a distinctive finish. Tintas Renner and the painters were fundamental in making Embaixada Bairrista turn out as we imagined.” The painting project refreshed the house’s entrances, walls, upper façade, movie theater, deck, fountain, pergola, gutters, pipes, and flower boxes. Selected colors included Black Magic, Hearth and Sun Salutation. “Tintas Renner is very proud to partner with O Bairrista to revitalize a home that has such significance historically to the people of Porto Alegre and the state of Rio Grande do Sul,” said Fernando Signori, PPG marketing manager, Tintas Renner. “Our company has strong ties to this region, and we will continue bringing color and brightness to the communities where our customers live, work and play.”
