Rust-Oleum and True Value jointly announced the creation of the Rust-Oleum Certified Hardware Retailer Program.

A first for the two companies, the program will help independent hardware stores establish themselves as a paint destination for consumers. Participating dealers will receive product training, special promotions and a wide variety of marketing elements for Rust-Oleum products.

“Our goal is to do all we can to see independent retailers thrive in this competitive space,” said Jeff Kistler, SVP of sales at Rust-Oleum. “We are working together to support store owners with the tools they need to offer their customers complete satisfaction.”

With more than 4,500 stores and nearly 2,500 associates, True Value leaders are confident the program will equip store owners with the knowledge they need to best serve their customers.

“True Value is focused on helping our store owners succeed by ensuring they have access to innovative products and the best retail assortments,” said Todd Stanojev, divisional VP of merchandising at True Value Company. “We are excited to partner with Rust-Oleum on the launch of this new program and look forward to seeing our retailers turn their stores into the paint destination in their community.”
