Cathay Industries USA has started construction on a 100,000-square-foot facility that will serve as the new headquarters for the Americas. The site will also become the major distribution point serving the Midwest region. The 30’ clear building will feature 8 loading docks, 2 drive in doors, 70 auto parking spaces and 4,000 SF of corporate office space. The new site is located in Bartlett, Illinois; a western suburb in the Chicago area. Cathay has 11 additional distribution points through the US and Canada. “Cathay is very excited to have the construction started on the Bartlett location,” said said Kevin Miles, CEO of Cathay Industries USA, inc. “The new headquarters and distribution facility will enable us to serve our customers even more efficiently moving forward. This investment will help to continue our strong growth in the North American market.” The facility is expected to be complete late in the fourth quarter of 2019. Cathay Industries is one of the world’s largest manufacturer of iron oxide pigments with locations in the US, China, Europe, Australia, and Africa.
