Effective Jan. 1, 2020, Christian Schubert, 56, currently VP, head of Berlin office, will assume the newly created role VP, Corporate Government Relations, based in Berlin.

He will continue to act as head of BASF’s Berlin office and to report to Anke Schmidt, who has global responsibility for Corporate Communications & Government Relations at BASF.
Christina Gommlich, currently senior manager Economic Policy & International Networks, will become deputy head of the Berlin office on Jan. 1, 2020.

Véronique De Waele, currently head of Economic Policy & International Networks, will become head of BASF’s Brussels office effective Jan. 1, 2020 and will report to Schubert.

Wolfgang Weber, 52, currently VP, Communications and Government Relations Europe/EMEA and head of Brussels office, has decided to leave the company effective Dec. 31, 2019.
