Miller Paint announced its Spring Color Trends for 2022, taking a cue from the natural environment. The Northwest leader in paint manufacturing is predicting that homeowners will embrace layers of green in a color palette that both calms and energizes, soothes, and surprises. “More and more, people are choosing immersive experiences with nature – like forest-bathing and terrarium-building – to help reduce stress, improve mental well-being, lower heart rates, and help us unplug from our virtual world,” said Puji Sherer, vice president of marketing, color & brand for Miller Paint. “Green is a versatile and vibrant color that can shift between a grounding backdrop, like evergreen trees in a forest, or serve as a welcome accent, like lichen on a trail. Regardless of the shade, green connects us to the natural world.” This spring, the color hues say we are alive, taking a breath, and ready to refresh our indoor and outdoor spaces. • Vegetarian | 0430 — A grounded green that feels both earthy and fresh, with rich leafy greens and emerald undertones. • Rediscover | 0408 — A subdued, warm sage that shifts with the light and lets us embrace the layers of life that this season offers. • Yellow Umbrella | 0800 — This yellow green is energetic and unapologetic. The color thrives in the Pacific Northwest’s mossy climate and sings and zings. • Desiree | 1219 — Our 2022 Color of the Year, this softly shaded orchid hue is versatile and complex. This hue references lilac, lavender, and orchid. “Springtime inspires homeowners to refresh the spaces that connect their interior and exterior living areas – from patios to outdoor fireplaces,” said Justin Waddell, owner of Bloke Botanical. “Green is a classic neutral and can help you create a personal sanctuary that heals and offers refuge.” To celebrate spring, Miller Paint is sharing instructions for a Monochromatic Wall project featuring two of the spring colors: Vegetarian and Rediscover. This DIY project provides a monochromatic approach to a traditional architectural element. Additionally, Miller Paint exterior products is offering projects to spruce up your outdoor living space, from Striped Adirondack Chairs to a Color Cube Ladder for your garden.
