Sheboygan Paint Company announced that the tradename Uraguard has been registered for the company’s polyurethane topcoat, known for its durability and exceptional weatherability. The company received notice of allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for trademark SN 90585264 in late June. This is the company’s first trademarked product name in the company’s 100-year history.

Uraguard utilizes urethane chemistry to guard a metal substrate on which it is applied over a pri-mer. It is most often used for long-lasting protection and beautification of equipment like heavy-duty trailers, agriculture and construction equipment, truck bodies, and similar heavy equipment and machinery.
