MIPA will take over the business of the company Warnecke & Böhm GmbH and maintain the brand WB Coatings from 1 January 2023. The product range and customer relations of Warnecke & Böhm will be organized primarily by Feycolor GmbH in Regensburg, Germany, which belongs to the MIPA. The acquisition of the business of WB Coatings means a larger customer base and product portfolio in the field of industrial coatings, where numerous synergies with existing MIPA products can be successfully exploited. The manufacturing of the products will, however, be carried out in cooperation with the various MIPA production sites depending on the product group. “The traditional WB Coatings brand will definitely be retained after the takeover,” Mr Markus Fritzsche, managing director of MIPA emphasized. “Customers will be offered the usual product range and will continue to receive support from a specialized industrial coatings manufacturer in Bavaria,” added Fritzsche. Marcus Preubner, managing director of WB Coatings, is also certain that he has made the right decision in handing over the business to the MIPA. “The sale of Warnecke & Böhm GmbH to MIPA is a strategically important step in aligning the brand WB Coatings for the future. The long-standing, very successful cooperation with MIPA will also ensure a smooth transition.” The MIPA already produced most of the products that Warnecke & Böhm distributed in Germany and neighboring countries for several years. Warnecke & Böhm’s customers are primarily industrial users operating in the fields of mechanical engineering and plant construction, medical technology, glass coating, audio technology and metal housing, as well as users of special solutions for the automotive industry. As a result of the takeover, MIPA is ensuring the continued existence of the WB Coatings brand and the business activities of Warnecke & Böhm in Bavaria as well as the continued supply of customers with the usual material.
