WEG stands out in the Capital Goods and Electronics sector at the 2023 Best and Biggest Awards, organized by Exame Magazine. This recognition is the result of a meticulous survey conducted by the magazine in collaboration with Ibmec, with the input of Exame’s Executive Committee. This year, the award celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking half a century of recognition for companies that drive the Brazilian market. Annually, the magazine releases the eagerly awaited list of the top 1,000 companies in Brazil, whose performance plays a crucial role in the country’s financial market. Leading companies, identified in various sectors of the economy, stand out for their remarkable success in managing their enterprises, playing a significant role in boosting the Brazilian economy. The thorough evaluation of the participating companies in the annual report is based on financial data from 2022 and relies on three essential pillars: financial results, growth within their respective sectors, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). The awards ceremony was held in person and attended by WEG’s CEO, Harry Schmelzer Jr. In addition to the main categories, highlights in the cooperative and education sectors, the insurance segment, and the banking industry were also recognized, honoring notable achievements in all these key areas of the Brazilian economy.
