Jotun is the recipient of the Norwegian Export Award 2025, which recognizes Norwegian export companies that have successfully created value in Norway through international markets in 2024.
The award was presented at an event organized by Innovation Norway and Eksfin (Export Financing Norway).
“This year’s winner has over time demonstrated unique industrial expertise. The company has experienced strong growth and left a clear mark on both its local market at home and in its global markets. The winner of the Export Award 2025 is Jotun,” to quote parts of the jury’s statement, presented by Cecilie Myrseth, the Norwegian minister of Trade and Industry.
Next year, Jotun will celebrate its 100th anniversary. From its humble beginnings back home in Sandefjord, Jotun has grown to become an international market leader with 10,606 employees and 40 factories spread across the world.
"I think it's great that this award can go to a company that not only exports goods but delivers technology and expertise to the entire world. Now I am first and foremost proud on behalf of all my colleagues. Thank you very much," said Morten Fon, Jotun president and CEO, in his acceptance speech.
