PPG announced that it will highlight two advanced PPG ENVIROCRON powder coating technologies, launch a new e-commerce site for powder coatings and showcase its full menu of technical and service support programs for metal fabricators at FABTECH 2019 in Chicago, Nov. 11-14. PPG Envirocron HTE (high-transfer efficiency) coatings offer first-pass transfer efficiency rates of up to 85%. This enables global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to increase output while reducing material use, energy consumption and maintenance costs. PPG Envirocron HTE coatings are ideal for parts with decorative patterns, recessed cavities, tubular shapes and other intricate surfaces. PPG Envirocron Extreme Edge Protection coatings are single-layer coatings based on patent-pending technology. They provide superior coverage on sharp, hard-to-coat edges created during metal fabrication. The new e-commerce platform will enable customers to order from a selection of more than 110 stock powder coatings in numerous colors and glosses. Delivery of 50- or 55-pound containers purchased through this site can take as little as six days. The platform also provides expanded access to the PPG FasTREK Color Matching program, an online service that permits customers to order custom, small-batch powder coatings in quantities ranging from 10 to 165 pounds. The PPG booth will be staffed by representatives of the PPG TRUEFINISH industrial coatings and PPG Coatings Services businesses. PPG TrueFinish industrial coatings deliver PPG’s world-class coatings and support to small manufacturers and custom coaters throughout the U.S. and Canada. Support includes local stocking programs, quick-turn custom color-matching, on-site coatings application and product training, and local technical support, service and delivery.
