Following the retirement of executive director Dave Lurie, the Powder Coating Institute has hired Goyer Management International (GMI) to provide complete management services of the association. Goyer Management will oversee all day-to-day activities and operations of PCI.
Additionally, Goyer Management has hired, and the PCI Board of Directors has approved, Trena Benson as the new executive director of the Powder Coating Institute. Benson will manage all aspects of PCI from membership recruitment and retention, to educational programming, the development and implementation of a revised strategic plan, products and services and more.
Benson comes to GMI and PCI with more than 20 years of marketing experience in the powder coating industry. She previously worked for Axalta Coating Systems, formerly DuPont Powder Coatings, where she served in marketing management for the last 10 years. She served on DuPont Powder’s leadership team where she participated in training efforts on behalf of the organization. In addition, as the Star CoaterSM Program Administrator for 12 years, she acquired demonstrable knowledge of a membership program, meeting planning, program development, certification, and relationship building. She has also served on the board of the Chemical Coater’s Association Int’l (CCAI) for nine years.
Goyer Management has retained Lori Koning as PCI’s national sales Mmanager, and has hired two new staff members, Sharon Rayl and Julie Ward, to assist with accounting and administrative work respectively. The existing Goyer Management staff will fulfill the additional roles for the association
