Evonik offers a new concept of matting coatings: Instead of formulating each color shade and degree of gloss from the scratch, the dispersant TEGO Dispers 686 for matting pastes enables a modular system. Using concentrates provides higher flexibility in gloss levels and optimizes the production processes. Matting pastes based on TEGO Dispers 686 are available for water or solvent borne coating systems alike.
Together with this universality come further advantages. TEGO Dispers 686 enables stable matting concentrates with the added benefit of higher reliability in matting and ease of manufacturing without the risk of over-grinding. Thus, formulators don’t lose time while grinding batches again if the desired gloss level wasn't met in the first attempt.
TEGO Dispers 686 is supplied solvent and VOC free, but in liquid form and can be used in most typical coating systems ranging from water borne emulsions to alkyd paints. With TEGO Dispers 686, Evonik is supplying a new product that is very easy to handle, store and use.
