Troy will be introducing four new antimicrobials as well as presenting its full line of Micropel and Plastiguard biocide products for plastics at Hall 5/C04-1 at the K-Show 2016 in Dusseldorf. Offering a newly expanded portfolio of advanced antimicrobials and services, the Troy Micropel® stand will be an excellent resource for manufacturers of plastics, PVC, vinyls, roof membranes, pool liners, plastisol coated fabrics, and a diversity of PT9-type polymer applications.
The Troy Micropel stand will have technical experts on-hand, as well as extensive information on products and services. “The exhibit will demonstrate how Troy Micropel® can assist customers to reach demanding performance and cost-in-use targets,” states David E. Faherty, Vice President, Troy Corporation. “Troy Micropel® has a full portfolio of highly effective active chemistries for customers in Europe, as well as an experienced regulatory department to enable customers to manufacture high quality, fully compliant materials,” states Faherty.
Troy Micropel will be introducing four new antimicrobial products to the market, including Plastiguard F11, Plastiguard 73L, and Plastiguard 642VP. The low migration rate of the active ingredient in these three new products, Folpet, allows for plasticized material to remain protected from outdoor weathering conditions for extended periods of time. This ensures that the finished material is protected from the growth of bacteria, fungus, mold, and mildew, which normally cause unsightly discoloration, stains, and odors. These products pass the industry standards of ISO 846 and ASTM G21. For pink stain resistance, Troy is introducing advanced Micropel 2050, which has been uniquely formulated to achieve significantly greater zones of inhibition in the ASTM E1428 testing for the marine industry. “The introduction of these four new antimicrobials at the K-Show is a win for manufacturers affected by the European BPR,” states Faherty. “Troy Micropel offers a wide range of alternatives, with advanced technology, regulatory compliance, excellent performance, and low cost-to-treat.”
