This year is the first time that Wacker, the Munich-based chemical company, is taking part in the Latin American Coatings Show, where it will be presenting numerous innovative polymer and silicone products for the region’s paint and coatings sectors.
Silicone resin emulsion SILRES WH 80 A, for instance, provides treated wood with long-lasting protection against damp, moisture and consequential damages. PRIMIS AF 1000 is a binder that ensures highly durable, brilliant exterior paints with reduced dirt pick-up, while the VINNAPAS EP 3360 dispersion makes it possible to formulate low-odor paints. Other highlights include silicone solutions for anti-graffiti and water-repellent, though vapor- permeable architectural coatings, as well as binders for self-leveling floor screeds, fire-protection coatings and waterproofing membranes. The Latin American Coatings Show takes place in Mexico City from June 20 to 22, 2017.
“Latin America is a promising market for Wacker. Quality and environmental awareness is constantly on the rise, particularly in the paint and coatings industries. This trend, in turn, is leading to an increase in demand for our high-quality product solutions,” explains Jaime Lezama del Valle, Managing Director of Wacker Mexicana. “This tradeshow therefore offers us a great opportunity to present our broad portfolio within the region for the first time and so tap into further market potential.”
