TCV’s Innovations Manager Dr. Herbert Chao will present “Introduction to Farnesene Based Polyols” during a breakout session Oct. 3 at 3 p.m. He will discuss the development of new trans-β-farnesene feedstocks branded Krasol F 3000. The new feedstocks are a renewable alternative to petroleum-based feedstocks like butadiene. They can be prepared via anionic polymerization and used to produce thermoplastic urethanes, specialty adhesives and sprayable coatings.
Krasol F 3000 is the latest addition to TCV’s extensive line of Krasol- and Ricon-brand liquid polybutadiene resins. It can complement polyether and polyester diols while providing improved moisture resistance and much lower viscosity compared to traditional polybutadiene polyols.
