The BCF announced the addition of a new event to its 2018 events program which aims to inform and educate the UK print community about UV LED curing technology.
“The BCF’s Print Forum: Throwing Light on UV LED,” is set to take place Oct. 2, at the Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club in Edinburgh, and on Oct. 9 at Moor Hall in Sutton Coldfield.
The program features a broad range of speakers who will tell the entire UV LED story, introducing the technology, explaining the competitive reasons to use it, and offering case studies from their own businesses. The forum will also offer an opportunity for delegates to speak one-to-one with industry experts, who will help them decide whether the technology is right for their printing processes.
Sponsors include (lead sponsors) Paragon and Flint Group; hubergroup, INX; Sun Chemical; AkzoNobel; AMS Spectral UV; bfs pressroom solutions; BYK Additives and Instruments; GEW; IST UK; and Phoseon Technology.
“We are looking forward to the LED conference roadshow not only to showcase our latest LED AURA range of inks and coatings but the mutual collaboration of all the OEMs and co-suppliers, advocating LED technology,” said Martin Fowler, UK and Ireland sales manager for Paragon. “The demonstration and case studies of the technical advancements and positive attributes of LED technology in today’s product decoration market, by the speakers and sponsors, will give all the attendees a solid platform for future development and investment.”
“Flint Group Narrow Web has been a strong advocate and early promoter of UV LED curing since as far back as 2012, when we launched our first UV LED curing inks, EKOCURE at LabelExpo Americas that year,” added Keith Redmond, regional business manager (Narrow Web), UK & Ireland for Flint Group. “We are therefore very proud to be lead sponsors for these upcoming BCF events, as it's a great opportunity for British converters to get a complete overview of the real benefits and advantages that can be achieved with this technology, from a number of different end users, industry experts and OEM's successfully servicing the market today. We also look forward to the opportunity to present the benefits of our award-winning low Migration LED series Ekocure Ancora.”
