PPG has joined together with the 2020 Bradford Science Festival to be the lead partner of the event’s science, technology, engineering and math education (STEM) programs.
The festival is coordinated by The National Science and Media Museum, which is part of The Science Museum Group.
“At PPG, we share The Science Museum Group’s mission to inspire young people’s curiosity about science and the world around them,” said Ken Armistead, PPG director, corporate communications, Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We hope this year’s festival will inspire even more children to consider a career in science, engineering and problem-solving, creating a brighter future for generations to come. The festival’s themes also mirror our unwavering focus on sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion, making the partnership a great fit.”
Scheduled for Oct. 24 - Nov. 1, the 2020 Bradford Science Festival will offer a wide range of digital resources, online learning modules and printed learning packs, as well as an interview series on BCB Radio to highlight women in STEM.
Following strict COVID-19 guidelines, a number of live events will take place at The National Science and Media Museum.
These include a special screening of the film “Black Panther” followed by a question and answer session and panel discussion in partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering.
