The KRAHN Chemie Group and Ecoat SAS have expanded their existing distribution agreement to include the sales region of Poland.
Ecoat, based in Grasse, France, develops bio-based and water-based binders for the paint industry.
The cooperation, which has already been in effect for Germany, Austria and the Netherlands since January 2020, includes the promotion of a range of partly bio-based alkyd emulsions as well as alkyd urethane dispersions.
Ecoat is committed to developing competitive and high-performance products for the coatings industry that are tailored to the needs of the market while at the same time containing as many bio-based or renewable ingredients as possible.
The Secoia product range consists of bio-based alkyd emulsions, which are used in particular for architectural and wood paints.
Aqueous alkyd emulsions, which are mainly applied in environmentally friendly decorative coatings, as well as alkyd-urethane dispersions, which are specially used for decorative wood and metal coatings, are sold under the brand name Inokem UR.
“The sustainability aspect plays a major role in the selection of our supplying partners," said Magdalena Chudziak, managing director of KRAHN Chemie Polska. "My colleagues from Germany and the Netherlands who already work with Ecoat have told me much about the extraordinary dedication and outstanding technical capabilities with which Ecoat produces and further develops its highly innovative products. I was quickly convinced that these products would also fit the requirements of our Polish customers very well."
“KRAHN Chemie has shown within the framework of the existing cooperation that it offers our customers a particular added value through its outstanding experience and technical knowledge in the field of paints and coatings," added Nicolas Florent, GM and business director at Ecoat. "We are sure that this positive effect can also be transferred to other sales regions and for this reason, we are now working together in Poland as well. As in Germany, KRAHN Chemie also runs a laboratory in Poland where comprehensive tests can be conducted for our customers. We are pleased that this added value in combination with our products can now also be offered in Poland.”
