The Protech Group announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire the liquid coatings business of Excalibur Paints & Coatings Ltd.
The acquisition was officialized on June 4, 2021. Manufacturing equipment will now be relocated within existing Protech Group facilities in the US. Excalibur Paints formulations and products will be integrated under the Protech Group portfolio of liquid coatings brands.
Based in Wichita Falls, TX, Excalibur Paints is a protective coatings development and manufacturing company with over 20 years of experience that specializes in production of numerous unique, special and environmentally friendly products. The company’s product line includes epoxy systems, alkyd coatings, corrosive-inhibitive primers, polyurethanes and chemical resistant linings.
"This acquisition strengthens our liquid coatings capabilities,” said David Ades, president of the Protech Group. “It allows us to expand our customer base, keep up with the growing demand, and offer a great depth of solutions to them.”
“It is an exclusive opportunity to have the Protech Group, a global player in the industry, to take the reins of our business and ensure continued growth with current and future clients,” added Randall Funston, owner, Excalibur Paints.
Acquisitions are a continuous part of the growth strategy at the Protech Group. Despite the global pandemic, this is the third acquisition within the last year for the company. The Protech Group recently acquired the coatings division of ACG Industrie (France) and the liquid coatings manufacturer, Winslow Browning Inc. (USA).
