Q-Lab announced the addition of UVC testing capabilities to both its Florida (USA) and Saarbrücken (Germany) ISO 17025-accredited contract test laboratories. Testing is performed using our newest model, the QUV/uvc accelerated weathering tester.
As a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic, surfaces in hospitals, airplanes, ventilation systems, and more have been exposed to potentially damaging, short-wavelength UVC light as part of UVGI (ultraviolet germicidal irradiance) processes. Since most products have not been designed with UVC stability in mind, this testing can give critical information about your materials’ and products’ resistance to high-energy UVC light.
Available testing parameters include a wide range of temperatures and irradiance values, to suit most applications.
