Registration is now open for The 50th Annual International Waterborne, High-Solids and Powder Coating Symposium, which will be held from Feb. 15-17, 2023 at the Astor Crowne Plaza, 739 Canal St., New Orleans, LA.
This year’s Plenary Speaker is Dr. Juliane P. Santos, research and development, Coatings for Oxiteno, whose talk is titled “Sustainability Guiding New Developments in the Coating Industry.”
Dr. Santos received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry at UNESP in Sao Paulo. She completed her masters and Ph.D. studies on Langmuir Blodgett-Films at University of Sao Paulo (USP). She did her postdoctoral on synthesis, structure, and properties of latexes at University of Campinas and she has been working in latex field for 20 years. Nowadays, she is a specialist at Oxiteno and responsible for developing surfactants for emulsion polymerization. Dr. Santos has published more than 10 papers in international journals and has 10 granted patents.
This year’s short courses will be held prior to the symposium. The courses are:
• The Fundamentals of Coatings
• Reformulating to Waterborne Coatings
• The Science of Formulating
Our short courses were developed to challenge you and your team. These unique classes afford an intensive look at the most challenging aspects in the coatings industry and will expand your knowledge. Short courses will be held prior to the symposium in New Orleans, LA.
