Śnieżka Group has published an interactive version of its integrated annual report for 2023. It is a comprehensive analysis of the group's achievements, integrating financial results with aspects related to environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) impact.
The 2023 Integrated Report consists of three main parts: Finance, Business and ESG. It was developed with the aim of comprehensively presenting the relationships between the financial and non-financial aspects of the group's functioning.
From the company's point of view, this is a special edition, because it summarizes the first year of implementation of the Śnieżka Sustainable Development Strategy. The strategy, whose motto is Green Matters, is the Ggoup's response to the growing awareness and expectations of consumers and business partners, as well as to dynamic market changes and new legal regulations.
For the first time in the group’s history, the non-financial part of the report was prepared in accordance with the ESRS standards, which complement the CSRD directive – and this was done one year before the mandatory reporting.
“To meet future disclosure challenges, we have carefully reviewed our reporting process in light of new requirements and implemented changes in advance,” Aleksandra Małozięć, director of ESG and corporate communications. “This year, selected non-financial data presented in the management report on the activities has been certified by a certified auditor in accordance with the CSRD Directive. This is a significant step forward, which underlines our transparency and commitment to the reliability of the information presented.”
Śnieżka Group also mapped its value chain in terms of a new approach to sustainability reporting. For the first time, a business model with capital was also presented, thus meeting the requirements of integrated reporting.
“Thanks to the use of an interactive form of presentation of financial and non-financial data, the reader of the report can easily and quickly compare current results with historical data, which facilitates the analysis and understanding of the dynamics of changes. This is particularly helpful for analysts and investors. The extensive structure of the report and the appropriate presentation of data enable a better understanding of the strategic decisions made by the Group,” said Małozięć.
The group's efforts in the ESG area have been recognized by EcoVadis , the world's largest provider of sustainability ratings in business, which awarded Śnieżka the Gold Medal in 2023, placing it among the top 5% of companies that have undergone the certification process.
