Covestro LLC announced its designation as a Top Scorer in the 2024 Disability Equality Index with a maximum score of 100. This recognition by the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Disability:IN marks Covestro’s second straight year as a Top Scorer and fourth consecutive designation as a Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.
Covestro’s CARE (Covestro Accessibility Resource Effort) employee resource group is focused on disability inclusion. Through its ongoing educational engagement efforts, it acts as the primary source of information for employees looking to further their knowledge about disability inclusion at Covestro.
The group aims to foster an environment that supports employees that have a disability, identify as neurodiverse or who are a caregiver for someone with a disability or special needs. The group’s goal is to raise awareness about disabilities – both visible and non-apparent – while also highlighting the unique abilities that people with disabilities possess.
“At Covestro, we are committed to ensuring all of our employees can work safely and productively, and that they are actively supported by the organization,” said Adrienne Woodard, head of diversity, equity and inclusion at Covestro LLC. “The designation as a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion demonstrates that we prioritize our workforce as our most valuable asset and strive to provide the tools and environment for everyone to thrive.”
