OSMO Wood and Colour Canada Ltd. is currently seeking a driven outside sales representative to join our team as a Sales Manager. We are seeking a dedicated employee to join our team long-term to lead sales of Osmo products across Ontario. You will be the representative and salesperson responsible for selling our highly regarded range of Wood Finishes. Osmo is the leading Canadian supplier of natural oil wood finishes for interior and exterior as well as a leading supplier in over 70-contries worldwide. The position is an excellent opportunity to build a satisfying career in a rapidly growing industry, as well as an be the individual responsible for an important territory.
The primary goal is to serve clients in Ontario, and expand sales within the province. You will work to develop existing OSMO accounts, as well as identify new revenue streams for the business to pursue. Sales Representatives handle a wide range of tasks and responsibilities such as: outside sales, customer service, technical support, store training and promotions, trade shows/expos, ect.
Position Responsibilities
Spending a minimum of 30% of time pursing new business, most of which is to be spent actively seeking new leads or potential customers of the business
Developing sales strategies to promote retailer turnover and account growth
Using knowledge of customer's line of business to anticipate both their present and future requirements
Following up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and growth of future business
Striving to exceed goals for account turnovers, up-selling, add-on selling and closing techniques to ensure that all customer requirements are met
Overseeing invoicing and the quick processing of orders in a time-efficient manner
Attending retailer, distributor as well as job-site meetings with new and existing customers
Planning, executing and overseeing customer and retailer trainings
Assisting with order fulfillment when required
Desired Skills and Expertise:
Bachelor’s Degree: Business Management or Bachelor of Commerce. and/or Trade Certification (Red Seal or similar) as a Cabinet maker, Joiner, Flooring Professional, Painter or Coatings Technician.
Must have a thorough understanding of Coatings and Woodworking including: Paints, Stains, Wood Finishes and Hardwood Flooring
Must be familiar with the safe and legal operation and usage of Power Tools and Woodworking Machinery
Able to operate wood coatings equipment such as: HVLP, LVHP, UV, LED, Turbine Fed, Syphon Fed, Gravity Fed equipment, as well as Automated Pigment Dispensing, Colour Spectrometers, Gloss Meters, Light Boxes
Must have demonstrated success in a sales-driven career with attaining and exceeding sales targets
Able to provide training to retailers and customers, as well as able to demonstrate a wide array of finishing techniques
Passionate and hard-working
Assertive and self-motivated
Ability to take direction, while also demonstrating success in leading teams and efforts
Ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and true commitment to customers
