Curator is sharing a look at three color trends that are on the rise due to the pandemic.
Energetic pink and purple hues have seen a major uptick between March and September. According to Curator’s color expert, the pandemic has led to a feeling of wanting to escape to an alternate time and place and redesign our spaces with bright and bold colors. The global sales of one of Curator’s pink hue, “Day at the Races,” and one of its purple hue, “Speedwell,” increased 83.3% and 100%, respectively, during the seven months of COVID-19 (March-Sept 2020), as compared to the seven months before COVID -19 (August 2019 – February 2020).
Sales of green paint hues have increased significantly since March. People who are looking for a feeling of fresh and clean room, are seeking green hues. The global sales of Curator’s three most popular greens, “Fisherman’s Boat,” “Dock Leaf,” and “March Day”, increased 59% during the seven months of COVID-19 (March-September 2020), as compared to the seven months before COVID-19 (August 2019-February 2020).
The need to feel safe is on the rise in the form of neutrals with some of Curator’s most popular neutrals increasing in sales between March and September. The global sales of Curator’s most three popular neutrals, “Scalloped Silk,” “Soft Bisque,” and “Stoney Way,” increased 57.8% during the seven months of COVID-19, as compared to the seven months before.
