Masters champion Charl Schwartzel took the title at this year's Valspar Championship, but Habitat for Humanity emerged as a winner as well. As the tournament sponsor, the Valspar Corporation ensured that the organization's local Pinellas County affiliate and national group were the beneficiaries of its onsite programs.
As part of the Valspar Putting Challenge, the paint manufacturer donated $5 for every guest who sunk a putt, which added up to $15,000 for Habitat Humanity of Pinellas County. Pictured below, members of the PGA Tour Wives Association pose with local Habitat for Humanity home recipients.

The week-long PGA tournament had a record week of attendance with approximately 105,000 fans at Innisbrook in Palm Harbor, FL, marking a 20,000 person increase over 2015.
An onsite Canstruction replica of Val and Jon – the colorful Valspar chameleon mascots – was made from 4,000 cans of food, all of which were donated to Feeding America Tampa Bay.
Valspar Corporation has also announced a three-year title sponsorship extension that will bring the company's commitment to the tournament through 2020, following three years of success as its title sponsor.
In partnership with Copperhead Charities, The Valspar Championship will continue to support Habitat for Humanity both locally and nationally. In 2015, the Valspar Championship, Copperhead Charities and Valspar gave more than $70,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County.
