DuluxGroup has announced the appointment of Graeme Liebelt as a Non-executive Director with effect from June 14, 2016.
Graeme has significant board experience including 19 years on ASX listed company boards, and substantial non-listed and not-for-profit board activity. He is currently Chairman of Amcor Ltd and a Director of ANZ Banking Group Ltd and The Australian Foundation Investment Company Ltd (AFIC).
Graeme also has more than 30 years’ experience in senior leadership roles across a breadth of industries in Australia and overseas, including as Managing Director and CEO of ASX listed Orica Limited from 2005 until 2012. He also held senior roles at DuluxGroup between 1989 and 1997, including as Managing Director from 1995 until 1997.
“Graeme’s depth of experience in manufacturing, services and consumer goods industry sectors, including successfully leading businesses through growth stages, adds to the broad background, expertise and skills mix on the current Board,” said Chairman Peter Kirby.
“All of the current directors were appointed at the time of, or soon after, DuluxGroup’s demerger from Orica six years ago. It is a key part of our succession planning that we identify candidates with the desired skills to ensure renewal and orderly succession when the future need arises. Graeme is clearly one such candidate and I am pleased to welcome him to the DuluxGroup Board.”
