BCF repeated as Trade Association of the Year at the Trade Association Forum’s (TAF’s) 2018 Best Practice Awards. On only one other occasion in the event’s 16-year history has an organization received the award two years in a row. The BCF also picked up a win for ‘Publication of the Year’ for its Annual Handbook and in the ‘Good Governance’ category.
“BCF is a deserving winner of the ultimate accolade of Trade Association of the Year in 2018 for the second year running,” said Linda Cavender, chief executive of TAF. “A rare achievement as only once in the history of the TAF Best Practice Awards has this happened before. BCF has a particularly inclusive nature and has had another fantastic year, punching above their weight representing their industry and a record year for membership growth. The organization is supremely professional and is a shining example of a trade association that others should aspire to emulate.”
“Winning Trade Association of the Year for a second time running makes me hugely proud – we strive to serve our members, to go the extra mile to deliver value, and to gain influence for the sector,” BCF Chief Executive Tom Botwell said. “It’s wonderful to see this recognized, and I’d like to thank the BCF staff for their dedication and commitment to putting members first. 2018 has been a huge upheaval for the BCF team, moving over 100 miles to a new office in Coventry, and recruiting a new back office team. We now have a wonderful new home for our members, and this award is the icing on the cake for another momentous year for the Federation”.
