Kakuhunter Centrifugal Planetary Mixer
Uniform mixing of viscous liquids and/or pastes is quickly accomplished in the Kakuhunter Centrifugal Planetary Mixer. In just a minute or two solids can be blended into the mix. Successful blends are achieved by combining intense Rotation of the container with Revolution around a center point (think daily earth rotation and the yearly revolution about the sun) to 2,000 rpm. Options include Vacuum units for degassing, two containers, volumes up to two containers of 2,000ml each, and tilted off-center containers for better action. Also, small samples can be bead milled using ZrO grinding media. The Kakuhunter gives users total control over individually speed and direction of rotation and revolution, plus a unique “wave” pattern to option the process. Testing and rental units are available.

A new medium-high density durable grinding media for medium to low viscosity products that can’t tolerate the high-density ceramic beads due to either the viscosity of the product or the need to control heat. This product has a density of 5.1 gm/cc, 3.2 kg/liter with the unique property of having a similar hardness to yttria-zirconia oxide beads. The beads are 73% zirconia oxide, 25% alumina and 2% others. Sizes are narrow and range from 0.9 up to 1.8 mm. The color is white with a matte finish. Beads are solid to the core.
