MIPA Group has acquired the business of the Süddeutsche Lackwerk. All employees of the Süddeutsches Lackwerk were offered jobs at nearby locations within the MIPA Group, so that the employment relationships can also be continued through the takeover.
For MIPA SE, the takeover of the business of the Süddeutsche Lackwerk means a further expansion of the customer base and the product portfolio in the field of industrial coatings. The regional proximity will also ensure a smooth takeover.
"We are certain that this takeover in our regional home market represents a perfect solution for the customers, since on the one hand the regional proximity remains in place and on the other hand a large number of other Products and solutions for future-oriented cooperation are available,” said Markus Fritzsche, CEO of MIPA SE.
"After 100 years of company history, paint production in Feldkirchen is now coming to an end. It was very difficult for us to take this step," stated Thomas di Filippo, managing director of Süddeutsche Lackwerk. "However, on the one hand, the environment for a relatively small company in the coatings industry in recent years has been caused by the corona pandemic”.
“The raw material bottlenecks that have partly resulted from this, the unpredictably changing prices for all primary materials and, last but not least, by the ongoing bureaucratization and regulation more and more difficult, on the other hand, the lack of family-internal company succession made it no longer sensible to continue the company," added Filippo.
"We are sure, to be able to hand over our customers and our products with MIPA SE to an extremely competent partner. Despite the size of the Mipa Group, numerous special products are manufactured individually for customers in industry and commerce and so the effort to find customer-specific solutions continues,” stated Filippo.
