Body shops can now manage production from anywhere through AutoSpot, a BASF subsidiary, an intuitive digital production management tool that allows technicians and managers to track every part of a repair moving through their shop in real time.
Launched in 2022, AutoSpot is a separate entity that can work in any body shop regardless of paint line and shows the status of every car as it moves through the repair process. The software also eliminates time spent searching for items in the shop, saving technicians at least one to two hours per day on average and a lot of frustration.
Whether it is a tool, set of keys or any other item, AutoSpot can locate it within 30 seconds or less through Bluetooth- powered beacons that transmit signals back and forth using special wall readers.
“My productivity and organizational skills in terms of body shop information have greatly improved because of Autospot,” said Regina Acuna, body shop advisor for Art Moran Buick GMC. “When Manjusha [Khaire] came to me with this software, it helped provide me with a better way of keeping any files updated and on track rather than having different websites open when everything I need is in Autospot.”
AutoSpot’s simplicity and real-time updates allow shops to do more with less.
