Praxair Surface Technologies coating service center in Changzhou, China, recently received Nadcap (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) accreditation for coatings.
Nadcap is a global cooperative program that brings together technical experts from among prime contractors, suppliers and government representatives to work jointly to establish requirements for approval of suppliers using a standardized approach.
Praxair commissioned an airframe production line in its Changzhou facility in 2013 to support the company’s 10-year agreement with Messier-Bugatti-Dowty for automated thermal spray coating services to replace chrome plating on major airframe component programs. This facility can also apply high-velocity oxy-fuel coatings to aircraft engine components.
