Kwikset has recently announced they would offer anti-microbial protection on select products, from spring 2016. The anti-microbial protection, provided by Microban technology, is built into IFS Purecoat powder coating, a high quality clear coat powder which is applied as a final coat to the hardware products.
The Purecoat anti-microbial powder coatings have been put through strict hardware industry testing and bring all the benefits that powder offers, as well as the anti-microbial capability.
The IFS Purecoat range consists of high quality powder clears available in many different product chemistries including polyesters, super durables, fluoropolymers, urethanes and hybrids. IFS Purecoat clears can also be formulated with additional functionality built in, including anti-graffiti, fingerprint free and of course anti-microbial protection.
