Time and Date of webinar: 1 p.m. EDT, September 6, 2017

Abstract: Keeping track of the constantly evolving Architectural and Industrial Surface Coating VOC regulations in the United States is a daunting task. Forecasting how these regulations might evolve in the future is even more difficult. However, given concerns over compliance as well as how to direct future R&D efforts to lower VOC content in coatings products, both are important. The presenter will provide an overview of Architectural and Industrial Maintenance (AIM) VOC regulations at the Federal, State and local level. This presentation also will provide an overview of recent AIM VOC regulatory developments that will most likely result in yet another round of lower AIM, colorant and paint thinner VOC limits in various States and California Air Quality Management Districts.
The webinar will be approximately 30 - 45 minutes in length
Presenter: David Darling is vice president of Health, Safety and Environmental Affairs at the American Coatings Association. During his 20 years at ACA, David has worked on coatings manufacturing environmental compliance issues, industrial surface coating and architectural coating VOC regulations and post-consumer paint issues. David has a MS and BS in environmental engineering from Syracuse University and is a professional environmental engineer.
