For the first time in the company's history Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, said it will present at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt.
Per Merck KGaA's Public Relations Manager, Nina Diergardt, "the company presents a wide range of innovative solutions at the major European automotive trade shows, including components for smart headlight systems and OLED taillights, smart satellite antennas, and effect pigments for interior and exterior surfaces."
Attendees "will have the opportunity to learn about the use of smart chemical materials for the 'car of tomorrow' based on relevant exhibits and displays at the company’s stand in the New Mobility World," Diergardt said.
Added Dieter Schroth, head of the Automotive Platform and responsible for innovative liquid crystal applications in the Display Materials business unit, said, “Our materials are already used to provide functionality and aesthetics in many sections of a vehicle.
"In times of digitalization and connectivity, however, the potential of our technologies is still far greater than we can show at the IAA," he said.
The show is slated for Sept. 14-24.
