Sartomer Americas, a business unit of Arkema Inc., will feature specialty acrylates and methacrylates for UV/EB/LED-curable formulations used in high-performance electronics applications at the RadTech UV+EB 2018 Technology Expo and Conference at booth 501.
Ideal for formulations that must provide continuous performance in complex electronics assemblies, these products enhance adhesive and coatings formulations so that they can withstand temperature and humidity extremes and exposure to chemicals, water, and abrasive materials that could ruin electronic devices.
Sartomer's CN9014 and CN9023 are resins for liquid optically clear adhesives. CN9014 is a hydrophobic aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer based on an aliphatic hydrophobic backbone. It is ideal for electronics applications because it offers resistance to liquids, vapors, and chemicals. Upon crosslinking, CN9014 has a low Tg, low crosslink density, and flexibility. CN9023 is a low-color, low-viscosity difunctional aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer. It is non-yellowing and imparts softness and flexibility to adhesives, coatings, and inks.
Sartomer's SR833 and SR368 are used in dispersion media for quantum dots. SR833 is a low-viscosity difunctional acrylate monomer that is polymerized by free radicals. It is a good choice for UV/EB-cured electronics applications because it imparts flexibility and adhesion. It also demonstrates toughness and weathering characteristics. SR368 is a white crystalline solid triazin compound used in polymerization. It promotes adhesion and provides abrasion resistance and fast cure response.
Sartomer offers a wide range of products for high-performance electronics applications such as circuit boards, die-attach adhesives, electrical potting/encapsulation, light optical clear adhesives (LOCA), liquid crystal displays (LCD), organic light emitting diodes (OLED), photoresists (dry film and liquid), plasma display panels, plate resists and printing plates.
