Green Business Certification, Inc. announced its 2018 class of LEED Fellows, an annual recognition of outstanding LEED professionals and the most prestigious credential awarded by GBCI. This year’s 25 LEED Fellows are exceptional practitioners and leaders within the green building community and have demonstrated mastery of the technical application of LEED, the world’s most widely used green building rating system.
“As LEED continues to evolve and push the market, so too do the dedicated leaders, experts, innovative thinkers and dynamic people who make up this class of LEED Fellows,” said Mahesh Ramanujam, president and CEO of the USGBC and GBCI. “Being named a LEED Fellow signifies you are part of an elite leadership group in the green building industry. Each member of this year’s LEED Fellow class plays a significant role in propelling the green building movement forward while continuing to advance our mission of green buildings for all.”
The 2018 LEED Fellows include:
LEED Fellows are nominated by their peers and must have made at least 10 years’ worth of exceptional impact on LEED and hold an active LEED AP with specialty credential, among other requirements. The evaluation process includes an extensive portfolio review and is carried out by the LEED Fellow Evaluation Committee and supported by GBCI.
The recipients will be honored at the 2018 USGBC Leadership Awards Reception at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo taking place Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, in Chicago.
The nomination period for next year’s class of LEED Fellows will open early in 2019.
