Axalta (Stand 461) is exhibiting its entire range of products from its Energy Solutions business at the Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo (EHVTE) Europe in Stuttgart, Germany (May 7-9).
Axalta’s special focus at EHVTE will be on the recently-launched Voltatex 4224. This new, low-emission impregnating resin allows for the design of smaller and more efficient motors, and for the significant reduction of the operating temperatures of standard design motors. Voltatex 4224 has a thermal conductivity that is more than double, even up to six times higher - 0.5 and 1.2 W/mK - compared to most standard impregnating resins.
Axalta will also be featuring a new casting resin on the stand that has recently been added to its Energy Solutions product portfolio: Voltacast 3310. This product is specifically designed to offer high thermal stability in combination with high thermal conductivity for winding head encapsulation or total stator encapsulation of electric motors, like servo drives or large machine tools.
“EHTVE is the perfect platform for us to discuss their evolving needs and to showcase our latest innovations, Voltatex 4224 and Voltcast 3310," said Dr. Christoph Lomoschitz, global product manager for Axalta’s Energy Solutions business. "Both of these products are examples of how Axalta is using technology to develop new solutions in line with our environmental sustainability goals.”
