Rhino Shield’s owner, combat-wounded veteran Jason Crawford, has his sights set on veterans to help fill the growing need for dealers as the company expands its dealer network across the U.S.
Crawford said Veterans, a much sought-after group with a focused and resilient mindset, are perfect for the Rhino Shield business model.
“Veterans are perfect candidates to own and operate a Rhino Shield dealership,” said Crawford, “Veterans have been put in situations where they have to deliver — they’re focused on accomplishing a mission and that’s vital.”
Crawford said Entrepreneur.com lists four core qualities veterans have that make them great entrepreneurs — discipline and hard work, dedication and focus, teamwork and the ability to work well under pressure — and they dovetail perfectly with Rhino Shield’s mission and culture.
“To Entrepreneur.com’s list of why veterans make great entrepreneurs we’d add integrity,” said Crawford. “This is important for the homeowner and our reputation as a national brand. We look for candidates who can gain trust with customers and provide a high level of service.”
A significant increase in demand for Rhino Shield’s recently upgraded coating systems has the company in recruiting mode, searching for entrepreneurs to start dealerships in various markets across the U.S.
Military.com said 1 in 10 business owners are veterans according to the U.S. Census Bureau and that they “truly shine when they are building their own business.”
“It comes as no surprise that teamwork, leadership, discipline, performance under pressure and willingness to sacrifice are cited by Military.com as the top reasons veterans succeed as entrepreneurs,” said Crawford. “These are the qualities ingrained in our service men and women, and are the qualities that make them successful entrepreneurs.”
