Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine will have a significant presence at the 2024 American Water Works Association (AWWA) Annual Conference and Expo (ACE24).
A team of dedicated global coating technology and market experts from Sherwin-Williams will offer insights into current trends and the company’s approach to sustainability in protecting water at the conference, which will be held from June 10 to 13, 2024, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.
Sherwin-Williams representatives will highlight how the coating leader’s approach aligns with AWWA’s Sustainability 2050 goals, which emphasize environmental stewardship, technological advancement, economic viability, effective governance, and social and demographic considerations, aiming to ensure a resilient water future.
“Higher-performing coating systems and solutions offer better value and are often the most sustainable choices due to their longevity, reduced maintenance and extension of service life to assets. Increasingly, our industry is considering a coating supplier’s total commitment to sustainability – and we are committed to protecting water and other vital resources,” said Paul Trautmann, marketing director – infrastructure, Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine.
“At AWWA ACE24, we are eager to showcase how our innovations provide industry-leading corrosion protection in the most challenging environmental conditions, as well as engineering coating solutions for NSF600 compliance,” added Trautmann. “Our sustainability strategy is also reinforced by an industry-leading distribution and support network.”
During the conference, Sherwin-Williams will highlight an array of services and solutions aimed at protecting vital water assets worldwide. This includes the company’s thicker film systems, which are designed to enhance durability and resistance to corrosion and wear.
Additionally, the coating leader is committed to supporting clean water delivery systems by offering solutions that minimize the use of solvents, thereby reducing volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
Among the products that Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine will showcase at AWWA ACE24 are:
• Sherplate 600, an epoxy lining for potable water tanks, certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and compliant with NSF/ANSI/CAN standards 61 and 600.
• Sherplate PW, a high-performance solution designed for use in potable water pipes and storage tanks.
