MNYCA Holds Award Ceremony at Annual Meeting

The Metro New York Coatings Association (MNYCA) held its annual tour May 18th at the Yogi Berra Museum in Little Falls, NJ followed by dinner at the Highlawn Pavillion in West Orange, NJ.

In addition the association bestowed two scholarships and four awards.

The 2016 Helene M. Senker Scholarship for Academic Excellence was awarded to two outstanding graduating High School seniors ($1,000 scholarship to each recipient) by the scholarship committee: Bob Whiteley of JNS-SmithChem and Jason Anagnostis of Absolute Coatings, Inc.:

Alexis Kehmna- daughter of John Kehmna of Nexeo Solutions

Alyanna Argueza- daughter of Vivian Argueza of Absolute Coatings, Inc.

The President's Achievement Award was given to Dave White of Heucotech, Ltd.

The David H. Litter Distinguished Service Award was granted to Peter Tepperman of Seagrave Coatings.

Bruce Schimmel of Superior Materials was recognized with the Merit Citation Award and Gavel Award.
