Walter Neal Boysen founded Boysen Paints in Oakland, California/USA in 1926. After expanding the brand across the U.S., Boysen Paints was introduced to Asia in the 1960s. It has given Pacific Paints the license to manufacture its premium paint products. The growing market share in Asia and the Pacific, especially in the Philippine market, necessitated the creation of a fully integrated state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Cavite, Philippines, said to be the most modern paint factory in Southeast Asia. In 2011, Atlantic Coatings, Inc. (ACI), contract manufacturer of Pacific Paint (Boysen) Philippines Inc., the leading architectural paint company in the country, further strengthened its green credentials with two environmental awards. The company was proclaimed Master Awardee for the Zero Basura Olympics 2009 and was third runner up in Mother Nature Award.
