Whitford Worldwide, Frazer, PA, has acquired Polymeric Systems, Inc. (PSI), a Phoenixville, PA-based maker of epoxy adhesives, sealants and caulks. The deal included PSI’s seven-acre campus and its 60,000-sq.ft. multi-story manufacturing facility.
Officials at Whitford report that since the acquisition, PSI’s sales are up 20%.
PSI, which originated a hand-kneadable epoxy repair putty for a variety of markets, also developed the Sum Pak single-use mixer package for delivering two-component liquids, gels and pastes, according to Whitford. The company also manufactures urethanes, silicones, polysulfides and modified silicone elastomeric sealants.
