DuPont solutions will be featured in a new, 54-floor luxury apartment building in Poland designed by architect Daniel Libeskind. Almost 87,000 square meters of the new building's façade will be covered by DuPont Alesta Powder Coatings, as will elements of interior decoration.
"The Polish DuPont Powder Coatings Team, supported by colleagues from Belgium, worked intensively to ensure DuPont solutions were used in that prestigious project," said Elzbieta Wojciechowska-Zalewska, country business manager, DuPont Coating Solutions, Poland.
The new building, located in the heart of Warsaw, is named for the street on which it is located, "Zlota" (meaning golden). The unique shape of the skyscraper will become a new symbol of the city and will add an exciting dimension to the skyline of Poland's capital said the company. Each apartment will be equipped with a home management system integrating all controls and functions in one touchscreen. The building is planned for completion in 2012, but Zlota 44 is already a winner of a European Property Award, given in association with recognized world leader in business news, CNBC.
"Libeskind's designs attract attention everywhere they are built. We are proud that that the next world-class location will be built with DuPont input," said Monika Rytczak, sales representative, DuPont Coatings Solutions, Poland.
Libeskind was born in Poland, but gained international fame thanks to his designs of the Jewish Museum in Berlin and the World Trade Center memorial towers in New York City, N.Y.
