HMG Paints Ltd has been working with Manchester-based Bricks & Soul Ltd for several years in a string of housing renovations for first-time buyers, homeless individuals and young adults coming out of social care.
In this latest renovation project, in partnership with Tameside Council and Mosscare St Vincent’s Housing, Bricks and Soul once again uutilizedHMG’s decorative range of products for a luxury finish.
“There is a real stigma around social housing, so it is great to have a quality British manufacturer like HMG on board to combat that stigma and create aspirational homes, with beautiful finishes for adolescents coming out of the care system," said Victoria Sinclair, managing director of Bricks & Soul Ltd. "It is crucial that they have a home where they feel safe, happy and secure. Using HMG products, we managed to achieve this, alongside our partners Tameside Council and Mosscare St Vincent’s, who organized a smooth transition for the young adults. The whole process has become a truly successful social impact scheme.”
The apartments’ feature HMG’s ready for use water-based paint range –from acrylic primers and satin finishes on the woodwork, to HMG’s contract emulsion for mist coating plaster and color-matched vinyl matte emulsions on the walls and ceilings.
“The simplicity of ordering a color match with HMG is ideal for our fast-paced projects," Sinclair said. "Using the online store, we just type in any color match we wish for, track our orders, add as many different delivery addresses as we want for the different projects and the products turn up on site ready for our painters to begin.”
The property, which has been renovated into separate apartments, will be home to care leavers and be their first step to independence.
“It is fantastic to see where our paints are being used especially when there are bold feature walls throughout the interior, bringing character to the spaces," said Gracienne Ikin, decorative sales & communications manager, HMG Paints Ltd. "There is no other company quite like Bricks & Soul who are really making waves across the city of Manchester and changing the lives of those most in need.”
